With SpeakEasy Publishing, you will move through three phases, transforming your storyteller’s dream into a published author’s reality.

Here’s how it works:

First Phase: Tell your story, the SpeakEasy way

Through a series of recorded and guided interview-like video call sessions over Zoom with an experienced SpeakEasy producer, turn your spoken words into your first draft – the foundation of your manuscript. This stage generally takes 5-6 weeks in succession but your producer can also work according to your schedule and pace.

  • A one-hour planning session to solidify your book vision and outline your recording sessions.
  • A series of five (5) one-hour recording sessions where you tell your story aloud, guided by the producer.
  • Five (5) listening sessions after each recording session to ensure that the recordings are consistent with the outline created at the start.
  • A one-hour post-production session to wrap up your recordings.
    • You get a digital editable copy of all your transcribed recordings. These are transcribed and formatted serving as the first draft of your story, in preparation for your writing coach sessions.
    • The approximate word count for each recording session is between 12,000-15,000 words
  • All sessions are recorded and conducted over Zoom.

Second Phase: Work with your Writing Coach

With your transcribed and formatted recordings in hand, work with a professional Writing Coach who will assist you in four (4) one-hour coaching sessions. Your Writing Coach will help you develop and shape your first draft into becoming the manuscript you have envisioned for your book.

Here are some important points:

  • All your Writing Coach sessions are recorded and conducted over Zoom. They will generally be done in a span of 3-4 weeks but your Writing Coach can also work according to your schedule and pace
  • Your Writing Coach is an experienced professional who will help you develop and refine your story. However, you retain full control of your journey towards a completed manuscript.

Third Phase: Submit your manuscript to The Mystic Publishers and get published!

Take your time in polishing your work even more. Once you feel ready with your completed manuscript, ease into the third and final phase – get your book published with the publishing package tied to the program!

Inclusive of hardcover format, copyediting, and complimentary copies, your publishing package equips you with all the essentials you need to become an author ready to share your unique and authentic story to the world.
